HOW IT ALL STARTED...
Hi! My name is Lauren Buchwald and I am 15 Years Old. One day in Quarantine I wanted to start something... something that would change me and make me stand out from the rest. So I thought and I thought until one idea sparked, and that was my love and passion for clothes. I searched all over quickly to figure out exactly what to do with it, until one day a post on Instagram had got me thinking of starting a clothing business. I knew that was what I wanted to do, so I went for it. Within 1 week of posting some items I had made from clothes from my own closet, I had received over 15 orders. I found a manufacturer to start this business with, and from there I created Splattered Essentials. All of my clothes are made directly from me, and handmade with love. I knew once I started that I also wanted to support something else that is super close to my heart which is the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation. When I was 2 and 1/2 years old I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and I have been so strong ever since that day. With every order that I receive a portion of the proceeds gets donated to the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation. With the support of my family and friends I have become very successful of learning and educating the ways to become an entrepreneur at a young age. My mom especially has been so helpful to me and creating my business, when it is providing me some motivation to keep going or finding new ideas and inspiration for me. I want to just thank everyone who has guided me and supported me on my journey so far. I can not wait for what the future has for me and to keep this business going!
